چکیده مقاله:

Introduction: Free radicals can cause lipid proxidation, especially in athletes. The aim of this research was to determine the response of lipid exercise proxidation and antioxidant system to single bout of High Intensity interval Exercise (HIE) in elite soccer players. Methods: In this semi experimental study, 20 football players were selected randomly and divided into experimental and control groups. Both groups participated in high intensity interval exercise protocol. The collected data were analyzed using t-test. Results: The results showed that HIE protocol could significantly increase MDA and GPX in experimental group (P<0.05). But, Intensive exercises didn't significantly change the SOD Indexes in experimental group. Conclusion: The present research results indicate that as a result of a single bout of high intensity interval exercise (HIE), the body is exposed to risk of oxidative stress. In addition, antioxidant system can provide high anti oxidative protection for organism

Ventilatory response to exercise of elite soccer players

BACKGROUND The purpose of this study was to evaluate the role of ventilatory parameters in maximal exercise performance in elite soccer players. METHODS From September 2009 to December 2012, 90 elite soccer players underwent evaluation of lung function test and ergospirometry by means of an incremental symptom-limited treadmill test. Results were analyzed according to i) maximal exercise velo...

Active recovery training does not affect the antioxidant response to soccer games in elite female players.

Changes in plasma endogenous and dietary antioxidants and oxidative stress markers were studied following two 90 min elite female soccer games separated by 72 h of either active or passive recovery. The active recovery group (n 8) trained for 1 h at 22 and 46 h after the first game (low-intensity cycling and resistance training), while the passive group rested (n 8). Blood samples were taken be...

Effects of exercise intensity on lymphocyte H2O2 production and antioxidant defences in soccer players.

OBJECTIVE Physical exercise is capable of enhancing or suppressing the immune response depending on the intensity and duration of exercise. This study investigated how exercise intensity influences the lymphocyte antioxidant response and the induction of cellular oxidative damage. DESIGN Eighteen voluntary male pre-professional soccer players participated in this study. Sportsmen played a 60 ...
